The firm represented approximately 1,000,000 ratepayers in a consumer class action brought against LILCO. The claims asserted were Civil RICO and fraud. The action was successfully settled after a lengthy litigation.
Harris v. E.F. Hutton Group
The firm represented a class of approximately 100 high-level employees who were deprived of payment for their shares of stock upon a "change in control" when Shearson Lehman and E.F. Hutton merged. The case settled for more than $16 million.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. South Beach Beverage Corp & Pespico
The firm represented five female employees who were part of a class action brought by the EEOC for wide-spread sexual harassment. The matter was resolved pursuant to a consent decree that was approved by the District Court.
