Susanna Barron pursues justice for hard-working people who have been marginalized or mistreated at work, with particular focus on discrimination against pregnant people, caregivers, and issues pertaining to family and medical leave.

Susanna is passionate about using legal advocacy to give a voice to her clients and advance the premise that the workplace should be a safe and fair space for everyone. She has obtained monetary settlements for workers who were discriminated against based on pregnancy and caregiving responsibilities across a wide array of industries, including childcare, healthcare, food service, hospitality, education, and government. She has worked on litigation alleging pregnancy discrimination, denial of reasonable accommodations, and FMLA interference against a major national retailer.

Susanna was also a contributor to a report on the harmful impact that “no fault” attendance policies at major companies have on low-wage workers. The report has since triggered the launch of a Congressional inquiry.
