Class Action Filed Against Amazon Over Disability Rights Violations
11/13/2025Vladeck, Raskin & Clark P.C. and A Better Balance have filed a class action complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Amazon. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Amazon warehouse worker Cayla Lyster and others like her, seeks to hold Amazon accountable for denying reasonable accommodations and retaliating against disabled warehouse workers across New York State—violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws.
Ms. Lyster leads a class of the thousands of New York warehouse workers who have been denied their rights because Amazon punished them—or because they were too afraid to seek disability accommodations at all. The class seeks injunctive relief, meaning a change to Amazon’s policies and practices.
The proposed class is: “All persons employed by Amazon in its logistics facilities in New York State as hourly workers from November 12, 2022 up to and including the date of any judgment in this case, who sought or intended to seek a disability accommodation from Amazon.” If you work or worked for Amazon in New York State and meet this definition, contact the lawyers at A Better Balance’s confidential helpline via this online form or at 1-833-633-3222, to determine if you are in the proposed class.
